Occasions Catalogue Blog Hop
I’m really excited today to be participating in my first ever Blog Hop!
A Blog Hop is when a group of bloggers post a series of connected posts with an overall theme and you hop from blog to blog to see all the inspiration and ideas everyone has to share.
This hop is hosted by my upline’s Art With Heart team of Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. This is a very large team with members Australia-wide and it has been running since Stampin’ Up! first came to Australia. We have a very active team Facebook Group as well as in-person stamp days, challenges, card swaps, product shares and more.
I’ve been a demonstrator for over six years and I’ve been blogging for a while now but the timing has never been right for me to join in with a hop. Today is the day to change that!
This hop is all about products from our two new catalogues – the Occasions Catalogue and the Sale-a-bration catalogue! Click on the links in the sidebar to view these in pdf form, or let me know you want your own copy and I’ll pop one in the post.
Every $90 purchase = 1 one FREE Sale-a-bration product!
Remember, for every $90 you spend on fabulous Stampin’ Up! products from any of our catalogues during Sale-a-bration you’ll earn your choice of product from the Sale-a-bration catalogue for free! There are no limits and you have loads to choose from.
Starter Kit Value = $169 for $235 worth of product
PLUS 2 FREE Sale-a-bration products!
Better still, become part of this fun, friendly and supportive team and you’ll get to choose TWO Sale-a-bration freebies or 1 Occasions Project Kit in addition to the great value Starter Kit – just $169 for $235 worth of product! In addition to the support and events I provide, my team members can get fully involved in everything going on in the Art With Heart world as well! How’s that for a sense of belonging and connectedness!
It’s quick and easy to join online too. Ask me how!
Sale-a-bration offers must end March 31st!
Now on with the hop! A big hello and welcome if you’re already on your way and have come from the blog of Christine Gibbins. There’s plenty more to show you, and there are links to all the other blogs at the end of this post.
When I decided to join in with the Art With Heart team hop and knew that it was just before Valentine’s day I thought what better theme to tie the two things together than some sweetheart cards using the new Photopolymer stamp set Hello Life. It has some beautiful images and lovely sentiments perfect for creating projects to show how much you care.
My first project has a great big in-your-face red heart! And just in case you were missing the ‘love’ theme I added a strip of extra red hearts by using the Confetti Hearts Punch to cut heart-shaped holes in a piece of Basic Black cardstock and then mounted it on a Real Red backing panel. No subtlety here, just a big bold expression of love!
I took advantage of those sweeping lines in the script stamps by stamping them both on my background and my foreground.
(137415) $372.95
My second project is one I taught to the ladies who came to my team gathering this week. I wanted to show how it was possible to use the left-over bits on a Dimensionals sheet to create a shaker element of whatever size and whatever shape you like.
The shaker pieces are kept contained by a piece of clear Window Sheet, which I stamped on with StazOn to form part of my greeting. The ‘you’ comes from the new Hello You Thinlits dies on p31
Hello You Thinlits (Occasions p31)
(137363) 4 dies for $42.95
(Can be purchased in a bundle with Crazy About You stamp set)
Because the card base is Basic Black it will be very difficult to write on so I added a simple insert using a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I stamped one of the other script images from the same set to tie the whole theme together and add a bit more interest to the starkness of the white.
And there’s that Confetti Hearts Punch at work again. This time to create my ‘shaker confetti’!
My final project is a variation on one of the cards I’m doing this week in my regular Monthly Class. It’s a quick and easy one that uses collage stamping to create this wonderful waterfall of hearts. My favourite script stamp is there again to provide some balance as it stretches across horizontally, and the whole thing has been given some dimension by raising one of the larger hearts up slightly and adding a little bit of bling.
The little circles stamp comes from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set:
Perpetual Birthday Calendar (Occasions p17)
(137167) Photopolymer stamp set $41.95
And although I didn’t manage to use this in any of my projects I wanted to finish up by highlighting this amazing stamp from the Hello Life set. For me it just really sums up what being part of this team and a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator means to me!
Let’s keep this blog hop hopping. Next up we have some gorgeous creations from my lovely friend Nikki Sadler

Gorgeous cards, Genna. Can’t pick a favourite – love them all !
Your cards a wonderful Genna and I love the Shaker Card that is tilted. I’m not sure I can ever make a card with a tilt, but I think you have just given me some inspiration to give it a try. I can’t believe that this is your first ever blog hop! Thanks for sharing.
Genna, your cards are gorgeous! I particularly love the way you’ve stamped the sentiments on the first card – those ‘sweeping lines’ on the sayings are pretty fabulous, aren’t they?
Great cards, Genna, and I’m inspired to break out the ink. I like your use of the multiple hearts in the last card.
Love your idea of sharing Valentine’s inspired cards, especially love the shaker card.
Exquisite cards! I can’t believe you’ve never been in a blog hop before – awesome way to start!
Fabulous projects Genna! I really love the shaker card, and the stamping on the foreground/background for the Hello Life card is an awesome idea.
